things to be grateful for

i had an epiphany the other day, which i am sure most of you had a long long time ago. but i realized how absolutely grateful i am for EVERY trial that i have been through in my life and even the ones that i am going through right now. i have learned so much. like when somebody breaks your heart, you learn that you are strong enough to do things on your own and take care of yourself, you learn that heavenly father really is the one true source of comfort in this world. (john 14:18 i will not leave you comfortless, i will come to you....this is my absolute favorite scripture of all time.)  you learn that when they break your heart, the best thing in the world could happen to you, like meeting your best friend and eternal companion, and then you just know that all of it was SUPPOSED to happen. you learn that no matter what you dont wish that pain, on any level to another human being. like when you are pregnant, and you have migraines daily and are vomiting nonstop like a bulemic person, and feeling like an ugly balloon that can talk but barely walk, that after ten months of that wretched pain, you are able to hold, cherish and unconditionally love the most precious thing you and your husband have ever seen and you are so happy it brings you to tears just to think about them. you learn that no matter how sick you get you are so lucky because heavenly father was gracious enough to let you mother one of his children, you learn that the harder something is the more rewarding it is. you learn that the sickness means that your body is working right, so who am i to complain when some people dont have the opportunity to carry their own child. like when your pregnant, sick and raising a 4 month old that you can tell he just knows that you are having a hard time. when you move them from toy to toy all day long because if you were to hold them you would have to run to the bathroom and throw up just from the exertion of energy that it requires. and then when you come back they are just smiling at you, and you know it will all be worth it when are older and are best friends. anyway, these are just a few things that  i was thinking about :)
